Belarus State University’s Sports Center in Minsk

The sports center contains a track-and-field hall, an indoor swimming pool, three all-purpose sporting halls, a hall with three tennis grounds, an entertainment center, tennis courts with four grounds, four basketball and volleyball grounds, a hockey ground and a roller ski track.

The center would perfectly blend with the picturesque parkland on the bank of the river Svisloch and the transport routes of the adjacent Smolenskaya Street.

The center has an open plot plan. The project is centered around a pedestrian square with a color-and-music fountain, propilaeum and other decorative elements. The square serves as an entrance to the first floors of all surrounding buildings that host numerous sporting facilities, cafes, shops, bars. The central axis of the square leads to an entertainment center that is located in the parkland.
